All students who began their studies on 1 August 2017 and 1 August 2018 follow the new curriculum.

The transition provision concerns students who began their studies earlier (before 1 August 2017)

The transition period is 1 August 2018 to 31 December 2019.

- All students who completed a Bachelor’s degree between 1 January and 31 July 2018 will continue to their Master’s level studies under the new curriculum as of 1 August 2018.

- All students who complete a Bachelor’s degree during the transition period will immediately change to the new curriculum for their Master’s level studies.

- As of 1 January 2020, all students at the Sibelius Academy will follow the new curriculum.
